Web Presence Architects' president headed the Web Team at the world's largest private sector development agency, the IFC (part of the World Bank Group). Over the years, the site grew from a few hundred pages to over 25,000 pages. The site delivers over 5 million page views a month and is visited by over 300,000 thousand people. This growth was sustained with the acquisition of a Web content management system, and the establishment of very strict policies, guidelines and procedures for publishing Web content. The Web team has been rationalized from many Webmasters and developers across the whole corporation to a strong central team of developers and editors overseeing the work of department content specialists. The president of WPA created the first Web strategy for the organization. The strategy was firmly anchored in the business goals and served as the basis for approving the Web Team work program.

This organization needed to re-vamp its Web site. WPA worked closely with the organization's management to create a Web strategy. This exercise allowed us to ensure that the main business goals of the organization, mainly to extend their reach and provide more information to donors, served as the basis for the Web program. We then proposed a new site architecture reflecting the needs of the two main constituencies, a colorful site design and a governance model which will ensure the long-term performance of the site.
